Using our Site

Search and Compare

You can find pretty much everything by using the search box at the top of the page. If you type in a color name like “Corian Matterhorn” you will see that several items will show up. It’s really pretty nice. To log in to the site you will have to re-register as the information from our old site will not work. You can compare products side by side by adding them to the “Add to Compare” button just to the left of the Add to Cart button. You can also add items to your wish list in the same area. A “Product Tags” box is located at the bottom of all item pages. You can submit your search tags there so you can find items easily. Our tags may not have the same search words you may use. If you add them the list will grow and it will become easier for everyone to search.

Rewards Points

We have added a Rewards Points feature to the site. When you purchase an item you’ll earn points that can be used on future purchases. The points equate to about 2%, it’s not much but it is better than nothing at all. Each products point value is listed just above the Add to Cart button in the product description. If you have any questions regarding points just let us know. You will, for a limited time, receive 250 points when you register on the site, they are worth $5.00 off your first order. You also earn points when you refer us to someone else who in turn purchases from us. We may change the program as we learn more about it over the next few months.
 

Payment Methods

We are processing credit cards on line now. If you have a question about your order before processing there is a button to click that will let you bypass the checkout. Your order will make it to us and we will call you. If we have any problems with your order or shipping costs we will call you. This is all brand new to us so please forgive us in advance if an unforeseen problem arises. We have also added a checkout box for Purchase Order numbers. If you have an established Net 30 account with us you can check this box and add a PO number.

Shop Shots

We are also looking for "Shop Shots". If you can email John an image of one of our tools in use and he uses it on the site he'll be glad to offer you points towards your next purchase. Just email them to jmichaels@specialtytools.com and if he uses them he will put your shop name on them.
