I wanted to share a short story without getting into a lot of detail.

Like many of you, over the past two years I have experienced a loss of business, a loss of pride and a lot of doubt about what my life has been about. I have worked hard all of my life, I’ve tried to treat everyone fairly and some years ago I gave my life to Jesus Christ. Everything was going great and I was on top of the world until the economy started crashing down around me. For quite a while I questioned my faith in God and why, if I had given my life to Him, would He allow me to loose everything I had worked for?

I started to look back at what I may have done to bring this upon myself and I realized something very interesting. I hadn’t done anything wrong and God wasn’t punishing me. As a matter of fact the more I looked the more I understood all the things He had put in place in my life so that I could make it through this time in my life. To truly appreciate the meaning of all this I would have to go through each and every thing I have found but I am sure you get the idea.

If you are having the thoughts I had take a few minutes to look back yourself. I am sure that if you look for the good things and not the bad you will see countless things that God has done for you. It’s amazing how sometimes we have to look back to see what’s ahead.
