Intertool History

Intertool evolved from our sister company, Leitch & Co., established in 1922 with traditional stone industry as its core business. As it became increasingly clear that the stone industry was often still operating in the Stone Age, we sought to change the industry standard. Big, expensive tools were the norm, and it was difficult for many small and medium-sized companies to compete.

With the knowledge of customers’ challenges with traditional tooling, the Intertool engineering team began designing tools that would truly fit the needs of all types of stone, tile and concrete fabricators. The innovative planetary design of the DS301 first hit the industry, with other efficient and original offerings close behind.
