When I first received word of this product I was a little skeptical so I began a search on the Internet. I found nothing for 100% Carbon Fiber Gloves other than Motorcycle Gloves. The idea that I could offer a glove that resists over 5000 degrees amazed me. These would be great for Solid Surface Fabricators using an oven, Welders and campers. Can you imagine being able to move campfire logs around with your hands? Anyway I wanted to test them out so I went for the kitchen stove but first I looked up the temp of a gas stove burner and found it to be, on average, between 3400 and 3600 degrees.
I started with an Ove Glove and laid my hand right down on the burner. I a few seconds the glove got very hot and started to smoke. I tried the same thing with these gloves and got much better results. I held my hand directly on the burner for about 30 seconds and I just felt a little uncomfortable from the heat. They did smoke or burn. I can think of plenty of times I’ve needed a pair of these, they would even be great for grilling!
These gloves are available with a Carbon Fiber Cuff or a Canvas Cuff. Both are light weight and very comfortable. Right now they are only available in one size. The palm of my hand is 3-3/4” across and they fit just fine. These Gloves have the Carbon Fiber Cuff.
