In this segment Ken and John demonstrated and discussed the Modulus Scoring Saw attachment. This patented attachment turns most any 10" table saw into a Scoring Saw just like the  larger saws. Using the Modulus will eliminate chipping on the bottom side of panels coated with plastic laminate, or melamine. It also works great when cross cutting wood veneer panels. The Modulus received IWF’s Challengers Award in 1986 and it continues to be a favorite for the small shop cutting melamine and laminate products. Once installed the Modulus attachment goes on  and off the saw as quickly as a 10" blade.
